How to Turn Voice Notes Into Reports With AI

1. Record like you always do

When it goes wrong

The transcript is garbled because of background noise or accent

The report comes out too generic or robotic

Add one line to your instruction telling it what to leave out, for example keep it factual and skip the summary sentence at the top, generic output usually means the instruction was too vague, not that the tool failed.

When not to use this

Skip this for anything sensitive you would not want transcribed and stored somewhere, for negotiations where the exact wording matters more than the summary, or for calls where recording was not agreed to by everyone on the call. And always treat the AI’s draft as a first pass, not a final answer, because it cannot verify facts, only organize what you told it.
